Accommodation and Facilities
Shelley Park provides comfortable and modern residential accommodation, for Residential, Day service and Respite Care clients. We offer Therapeutic, Recreational and Social facilities designed to support the needs of adults living with neurological and physical disabilities. In addition to excellent access to community facilities Shelley Park benefits from a large outside space with gardens specifically designed on a “sensory model” complimenting the needs of our client group. Arranged over three buildings Shelley Park comprises:-
Florence House
The primary residential Nursing Care unit, Florence House offers bright personalised accommodation and communal space together with comprehensive specialist equipment to support the needs of residents. The accommodation requirements are determined on assessment in our dedicated admission facility and are reviewed in line with individual Care Planning requirements and overall Clinical progress.
Westby House
Westby House is the main Rehabilitation and Therapy unit and also accommodates the purpose designed Transitional, Independent and Shared Living Units.

The Loft - Independent flat
The Loft is situated on the second floor of Westby House, accessed by a staircase from the main building The Loft comprises large living/kitchen/dining area, separate bedroom and own shower room. It is intended for a fully independently mobile individual, who requires ongoing support and supervision to further prepare for independent living in their own accommodation.
The Gateway - Supported shared living
The Gateway is situated on the first floor of Westby House, accessed from the ground floor of the main building by either staircase or through-floor lift. Accommodation is for four residents with fully adapted communal facilities. Each resident has their own large bed-sitting room and access to one of two fully equipped wet rooms and shared kitchen diner. The Gateway offers transitional living for people who need ongoing support and supervision to enable them to acquire the skills necessary for community supported living or return to their own home.
The Bridge - Fully adapted single occupancy flat
The Bridge is situated on the ground floor of Westby Road, accessed via its own private entrance. Accommodation is fully adapted and open-plan comprising kitchen-dining area, bedroom and living area, and wet room. It is intended that residents will be supported by a full rehabilitation package to maximise independence and enable the individual to become familiar with the day to day structure and care package that they will have when moving on to their own accommodation.
Shelley House
Shelley House Is the main reception “hub for the Centre the building hosts our Day Services programme & Family support service. With a large conservatory style communal area overlooking the garden, Shelley House is frequently used by clients and their families for personal celebrations and occasions. Music therapy sessions, Sensory stimulus facilities and Clinical Psychology services are also based in this building. The Centre’s education and training facility is also located in Shelley House.
